It is important to note that while doing a cleanse is very beneficial, if you do not change your diet and increase your intake of water you will be heading down the same old road again.
Yes, that means cutting down on junk food, refined flour, fizzy drinks and yes....tea and coffee. Increase the amount of fibre, fruit and vegetables in your diet.
Try to eat foods as close to their natural state as possible. If you do cook your vegetables, steam them rather than boil.
Buy locally where you can. Imported produce is picked underripe and will have lost some of it's nutritional value along the way.
Buy organic where possible. Organic foods have less additives and have been less processed. Obviously, this can increase your shopping bill, so if you can't afford to go completely all out, do it with a few items.
Increase your daily intake of water to at least 2 litres! Ideally drink still natural mineral water or at least filtered water. Water is SO essential to your body. Don't under-estimate it. It flushes toxins from your system and it really does help prevent you from getting horrible things such as constipation and irritable bowels in the first place.
